BIRDVIEW Technologies Acquires InterSend
GLEN ELLYN, IL – (November 15, 2004) - As more real estate professionals
understand the need to manage internet leads for longer periods of time, the
demand for automated lead follow up becomes more urgent. Simple auto-responder
emails are no longer enough. Winning today’s on-line real estate consumer
takes content that is personalized, timely, non-invasive and relevant.
BIRDVIEW Technologies has been building intelligent, dynamic messaging into
it’s websites for years. In order to accelerate the development of these
consumer messaging tools, BIRDVIEW has acquired InterSend from PlanetMall, Inc.
InterSend, a 4 year old division of PlanetMall, Inc., provides internet lead
incubation systems to top Realtors nation-wide. Their Automated Internet Response
(AIR) System features single use marketing letters, marketing campaigns and
newsletters, all email-based. Perhaps more importantly, the software allows
for fine tuning existing campaigns, the creation of new campaigns and the ability
to import contacts from other contact management systems.
The concept behind InterSend’s AIR System was developed by Tom Conway
a real estate agent with RE/MAX Gold, in Sacramento, CA. Tom closes nearly 200
transactions per year. Nearly half of his production is web generated. All of
his clients and prospecting farms are managed using the tool he designed. “The
system was working so well for me, I started selling it to my peers”.
Conway said.
“Selling InterSend to BIRDVIEW will put this software in front of a much
larger prospect base and accelerate the development of the next generation of
the InterSend software” BIRDVIEW’s private label version of the
InterSend AIR System, called ProspectPro, goes one step beyond the InterSend
product. BIRDVIEW has integrated ProspectPro into its OfficeSiteTM and AgentSiteTM
platform and utilizes proprietary algorithms to automatically assign consumers
to the appropriate drip marketing campaign.
As Michael Kehoe, BIRDVIEW’s Executive Vice President points out “The
acquisition of InterSend provides BIRDVIEW with software development talent,
a solid software platform to build on, the existing InterSend client base and
the fantastic insights of Tom Conway, who will have a role in shaping BIRDVIEW’s
future product development”. Kehoe added “This acquisition is the
first of several that will help us build on our sales growth.”
