This
month we'll provide a quick overview on using BIRDVIEW's new
Flyer Manager. The tool is designed to provide you with the
ability to quickly create powerful flyers and brochures for
your listings that can either be e-mailed in HTML and PDF
formats or printed and distributed.
A
flyer is a two page document that includes a primary listing
photo, listing remarks, agent and/or company contact information
and neighborhood information. A brochure on the other hand
includes more extensive property details and up to 18 photos
and editable remarks for each photo.
To
access the Flyer Manager, log on to your web assistant and
then select "Flyer Manager" from the "Edit"
pull down menu.
The
Flyer Manager has 4 configuration tools that allow you to
customize your flyers and brochures. Each is described below.
Flyer
Design
Clicking on Flyer Design, allows you to select the layout
and colors associated with your flyers. You'll note two tabs,
one labeled "Layout Selector" and another labeled
"Color Editor". The "Layout Selector"
is the default tab. At the right, there is a "Layout
Style" drop down menu that allows you to select from
4 different layouts that are available. Preview each layout
by selecting it. The web page will refresh showing you the
layout you've selected. Once you have decided upon a layout,
click "Save".
Then
click on the "Color Editor" tab. Here you'll be
able to choose from 4 different color schemes. Select the
preferred color scheme and click "Save".
Brochure
Design
The Brochure Design feature is very similar to the Flyer Design
feature except you may also select the layout for the additional
pages that make a brochure. If you click on the "Brochure
Design" button, the "Layout Selector" page
will be displayed. You'll notice two drop down menus that
allow you to select the layout of "Page One" and
the "Additional Pages". Again, don't forget to click
"Save" once you've decided on the layouts. You may
then click on the "Color Editor" tab to select desired
colors for your brochures.
Company
or Agent Profile (depending on user)
The Company or Agent Profile section allows you to add a brief
profile to be included on your brochures. This should be information
you want prospective clients and clients alike to see. It
may be information you currently have on your web site. Note,
profile information does not show up on a flyer and should
not exceed 1028 words.
Options
Flyers and Brochures can be accessed by consumers when they
are viewing listings on your web site. You may configure what
conditions you will allow consumers to access flyers and brochures.
For instance, you may require consumers to register before
they can view a brochure. There are 4 possible options available.
Select one of the options and click 'Save'.
To
actually create a flyer or brochure, find the "Listing
Manager" under the pull down menu, locate the listing
in question, and click on the "flyer" icon next
to the listing photo. To create a brochure, use the "Listing
Manager" to upload additional photos for that particular
listing then click on the "flyer" icon.
