New Member Services

Today most consumers can go to a real estate website and do a lot of research without ever having to logon or register. ‘Member Services’ allows consumers to register to receive access to special areas of your website. But why register? A seller can login to your website and see how many times their home is viewed by prospective buyers. This is a great tool for listing presentations.

What does Member Services Offer Consumers?

  • Consumers can search the entire MLS
  • Manage passwords and profiles
  • Buyers can name and save their favorite properties. They can sign up to receive property updates on a property’s listing status, if there are any changes in price. They can also be notified if a virtual tour is added.
  • Manage Free Home Updates (FHU) and sign up for multiple FHUs with different criteria
  • Create a comparison report to quickly compare selected listing
  • Sellers Special Feature! You can offer registered Sellers a reporting tool that allows them to see the number of times their home is viewed. This tool includes statistics regarding thumbnail and detail views of the home as well as virtual tour views (if applicable). Sellers can also leave you notes about their listing.

Turning on the ‘Member Services’ Feature

Activating ‘Member Services’ Login to your ‘Website Assistant’; click on ‘Website’; click on ‘Website Options’; Click ‘Yes’ where it asks, ‘Enable Member Services and Links’. Finally click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the form.

Link to ‘Member Services’ from Your Website Navigation Activating the ‘Member Services’ feature on your website automatically displays ‘Member Services’ links on many pages throughout your site. In addition to this you can add links to your site navigation by accessing the ‘Navigation Editor’. Click ‘Add a new link’. When you are prompted for a link name type in ‘Member Services’. When prompted for a URL type ‘http://your-domain.com/vip.htm’. Don’t forget to add a second link for “Login”. This should link to ‘http://your-domain.com/login.htm’.
