At BIRDVIEW, we are committed to protecting your privacy and to developing technology that gives you the most powerful and secure online experience. You can travel through most of our site without giving us any information about yourself. However, in the BIRDVIEW Network of sites, you may have the opportunity to register for more information or specific services; and our clients will share that information with BIRDVIEW as their service provider. Collecting your Personal InformationWe will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. After registering, go to the Profile Center and establish your preferences in the Contact Options sections. There, you can decide what information you want to receive and how you want to receive it. BIRDVIEW occasionally allows other companies to offer our registered customers information about their products and services, using postal mail only. If you do not want to receive these offers, you should uncheck the box in the Contact Options section in the Profile Center stating, "BIRDVIEW partners can send me postal mail about their services or products." If you decide not to receive information from a partner, simply opt-out of the offer by using the directions included in the email message. If you opt-out of the offer by using the directions included in the email message, you will not be sent any further messages related to that offer from BIRDVIEW in accordance with our then current policies and procedures; and your information may not be sent to the applicable partner(s). However, if your information has already been sent to the partner(s), BIRDVIEW will send a notice of your opt-out to the applicable partner(s). Since information about you will be provided to the partner(s) of your selected offer(s) and BIRDVIEW has no control over the use or distribution of your personal information once it is passed to a partner, we h4ly encourage you to review the privacy policy of each partner which provides offers to which you opt-in before making a selection.
BIRDVIEW may send out periodic e-mails informing you of technical service issues related to a product or service you requested. You will not be able to choose to unsubscribe to these mailings, as they are considered an essential part of the service you have chosen. Security of your Personal InformationBIRDVIEW strictly protects the security of your personal information and honors your choices for its intended use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Your personal information is never shared outside the company without your permission, except under conditions explained above. Inside the company, data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country where BIRDVIEW, its subsidiaries, affiliates or agents are located.
You also have a significant role in protecting your information. No one can see or edit your personal information without knowing your Username and password, so do not share these with others.
Use of CookiesTo ensure we are publishing content customers need and want, BIRDVIEW collects aggregated site-visitation statistics using cookies. We do not track individuals' use of the site.
When someone visits the site, a cookie is placed on the customer’s machine (if the customer accepts cookies) or is read if the customer has visited the site previously.
Web beacons, also known as clear gif technology, or action tags, assist in delivering the cookie. This technology tells us how many visitors clicked on key elements (such as links or graphics) on a BIRDVIEW Web page. We do not use this technology to access your personally identifiable information on birdview.com; it is a tool we use to compile aggregated statistics about BIRDVIEW Web site usage. We do not share tracking information outside of BIRDVIEW, and do not allow other companies to place clear gifs on our sites.
BIRDVIEW also uses cookies in connection with the use of your account on the birdview.com Web site as explained above.
If you choose to not have your browser accept cookies from the BIRDVIEW Web site (birdview.com), you will be able to view the text on the screens, however you will not experience a personalized visit nor will you be able to subscribe to the service offerings on the site.
